WHAT IS HATHA YOGA?

The term “Hatha Yoga” refers exclusively to a science of techniques (asanas, pranayamas, mudras, and layas) that lead the mind to a deep state of relaxation and alertness and that provide the individual with the peace of internal silence.

In Hatha Yoga, there is no need to follow any religion, idolatry, or beliefs. At the same time, there are no restrictions related to religion or personal beliefs.

Hatha Yoga has been absolutely misrepresented in the West. Today Hatha Yoga is understood by most Westerners as a stretching practice, which makes it unable to lead to complete mastery of the state of non-thinking and resulting inner peace and a constant feeling of oneness with the whole universe.

Hatha Yoga taught correctly has the sole purpose of creating a state of emotional centering through what sadhus calls Emotional Alchemy.

WHAT IS EMOTIONAL ALCHEMY?

In Hatha Yoga, emotions are understood as manifestations that are much more physiological than purely psychological — remembering that psychology places emphasis on thoughts and psychiatry, on chemical actions. Based on this, it is understood that a means that acts on the physical body will always be more efficient in providing peace than merely philosophical and intellectual means.

In the Yoga Training Course, are transmitted several techniques that act chemically in our body and alter emotions without the use of drugs and without harmful side effects. The student learns to use the mind to develop independence from external factors, modify and overcome self-sabotage patterns (through samskaras), and improve their lives in all aspects.

Emotional Alchemy is part of the knowledge Rajnath acquired over the years as a Natha Sampradaya's Sadhu, the tradition that created Hatha Yoga. In this tradition, the physical postures are of relatively little importance and their focus is on emotional centering.
